Rather than just pointlessly screw around with the conceptual mass tool, I figured i would learn more if i tried to model an existing building.
While living in Bangkok, i saw the millenium hilton regularly and thought it might make for an interesting test subject.
I imagined that the curves along the sides of the building took a fair amount of massaging to get them "just right". Sizing the observation deck at the top must have been a similar exercise. These are tasks for which parametric models are excellent.
So i figured out the building geometry as best i could and this is the result...be sure to click for the HIGH QUALITY video because bigger is better!
